In 2005, Tomo band leader Bill Cunliffe received his second Grammy nomination in the past 3 years. Bill is a former winner of the International Thelonious Monk Piano competition. His own Latin jazz CD "Imaginacion" (TOR #5) reached #2 nationally on jazz radio. Joining Bill in Tomo is Bob Sheppard, former saxophone player for Chick Corea, as well as noted players Larry Koonse on guitar, Darek Oles on bass and Mark Ferber on drums. The previous Tomo CD (TOR #4) reached #9 nationally on the Jazz radio charts. The CD features an eclectic mix of jazz compositions by Reed Kotler as did the first Tomo CD.
