Antonín Dvorák's solo piano works remain largely unknown today to musicians and music lovers, with the exception of those from the composer's native country. However, they deserve to be highlighted due to their originality and wealth of inspiration. They unusually blend Slavic characteristics with American-born music, without forgetting strong roots in the Austro-German piano literature.
