This ABC spinoff series of the program "Perfect Strangers" that ran from 1989-1998 (moving to CBS for it's final season) concerned the daily misadventures of the African-American Winslow brood. The family sitcom mainly focused on their foibles in dealing with nerdy neighbor Steve Urkel (Jaleel White), who had a crush on daughter Laura (Kellie Shanygne Williams) and was always running afoul of her cop father, Carl (Reginald VelJohnson).
