Frank Sinatra minus the Rat Pack in another big heist action-adventure. Assault on a Queen is a complex, exciting thriller in which a gang of clever mercenaries plans to hold up the H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth using a refurbished WWII U-boat. Scriptwriter Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone) does some of his best work in this one-of-a-kind complex high seas caper. Two of the film's best features are the terrific color photography of the magnificent ocean liner by William H. Daniels and original musical score by the legendary, Duke Ellington. The Stellar cast includes Virna Lissi, Anthony Franciosa, Richard Conte and Reginald Denny. Directed by TV veteran Jack Donohue (The Odd Couple).
